Rebecca

Rebecca was enrolled in the Joe Cornell dance program in 1983 as a 12 year old, and has been employed in the organization ever since.

During her years at Orchard Lake Middle School and West Bloomfield High School, Rebecca served as a Joe Cornell Dance Class assistant, and was soon "party perking" as a dancer at area bar and bat mitzvah celebrations...an area of the entertainment industry that was, as yet, untapped. Having an extra dancer, or "party perker", at parties quickly caught on, and Rebecca was hiring and training others to fill her shoes.

While in college, Rebecca started receiving requests from clients for her to serve as the lead entertainer at their parties. This was a natural fit, and she became the first female emcee in the metro Detroit area, leading the way for the multitudes of others who have followed in her footsteps.

While attending Eastern Michigan University, Rebecca seized the opportunity to purchase the business from Joe Cornell, the man who had seen so much potential in her. By 1991, she and her brother Steve were the new owners of Joe Cornell Entertainment.

Rebecca no longer officiates at weekend special events, however she continues to teach in our dance program for 6th graders, "The Joe Cornell Experience".

Along with her husband Todd, she raises two energetic boys... With future emcee potential!
